Fried Mozzarella and Sun-Dried Tomato Burgers

These fried mozzarella and sun-dried tomato burgers are a great take on the classic burger. They are crispy, gooey, and full of flavor. Great for a quick and filling meal

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 4 sun-dried tomatoes
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced red onion
  • Sliced cucumber
  • Mayonnaise
  • Mustard

Instructions:

Place a slice of mozzarella cheese and a sun-dried tomato between two slices of mozzarella to form a sandwich

Dip each sandwich into flour, then into beaten eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat

Fry the coated sandwiches until golden brown and crispy on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side

Toast the burger buns until lightly golden

Assemble the burgers by placing lettuce leaves, sliced red onion, and sliced cucumber on the bottom half of each bun

Top with a fried mozzarella and sun-dried tomato sandwich

Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the top half of the bun

Close the burger and serve immediately
