  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sake Japanese rice wine

  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Bamboo skewers, soaked in water

Instructions:

Ground chicken, chopped green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sake, mirin, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper should all be mixed together in a bowl

Thoroughly mix the ingredients together until they are well blended

Cut the chicken mixture into equal parts and roll each one into a small meatball

Put the chicken meatballs on the wet bamboo skewers, making sure there is some space between each one

Warm up the grill over medium-high heat

To keep things from sticking, make sure the grates are clean and lightly oiled

Put the chicken meatball kabobs on the grill

Cook for 8 to 10 minutes, turning them over every so often, until they are fully cooked and the outside has a nice char

If you want, you can add more green onions to the top of the hot Tsukune Japanese Chicken Meatball Kabobs
