Crispy Sesame Panko Shrimp
Enjoy the crispy goodness of tempura-style shrimp without the need for deep-frying. These Crispy Sesame Panko Shrimp are coated in a crunchy panko and sesame seed mixture, baked to perfection for a healthier twist on a classic favorite.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray or oil for misting
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 425F 220C
In a shallow dish, mix together flour, salt, and pepper
Dip each shrimp into the flour mixture, then into the beaten eggs, and finally into the panko breadcrumbs mixed with sesame seeds, pressing gently to adhere
Place breaded shrimp on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, mist lightly with cooking spray or brush with oil
Bake for 10-12 minutes until shrimp are cooked through and coating is golden brown and crispy
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce
