Bacon and Greens Dip
Ingredients:
- 6 slices of bacon, chopped
- 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions:
In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy
Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels
Set aside
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth and well blended
Stir in the thawed and drained spinach, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder
Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated
Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste
Remember that the bacon is salty, so be careful not to over-salt
Gently fold in the cooked and crumbled bacon into the mixture, reserving a little for garnish
Transfer the dip mixture to a baking dish or oven-safe serving dish
Bake in a preheated oven at 350F 175C for about 20-25 minutes or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the top is lightly golden
Remove from the oven and garnish with the remaining bacon and chopped green onions
Serve hot with your favorite crackers, chips, or sliced baguette
Enjoy
