Bacon and Greens Dip

A delicious and creamy appetizer thats ideal for get-togethers and parties is this Bacon and Greens Dip. Its a delicious dip with a perfect balance of crispy bacon, gooey cheese, and a hint of spinach. It tastes great with a bubbly glass

Ingredients:

  • 6 slices of bacon, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions:

In a large skillet, cook the chopped bacon until crispy

Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels

Set aside

In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth and well blended

Stir in the thawed and drained spinach, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder

Mix until all ingredients are evenly incorporated

Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste

Remember that the bacon is salty, so be careful not to over-salt

Gently fold in the cooked and crumbled bacon into the mixture, reserving a little for garnish

Transfer the dip mixture to a baking dish or oven-safe serving dish

Bake in a preheated oven at 350F 175C for about 20-25 minutes or until the dip is hot and bubbly, and the top is lightly golden

Remove from the oven and garnish with the remaining bacon and chopped green onions

Serve hot with your favorite crackers, chips, or sliced baguette
